Easy Attachment to Carrier VersaWing 2.0 BracketsThe Chariot bicycle trailer conversion kit is simple by design, with tow components consisting of only a hitcharm with tethered security pin, paired with an axle-mount ezHitch. All Chariot carriers have two VersaWing 2.0 brackets built into the lower front section of their chassis. The left one of these serves as the connection point of the hitcharm to the carrier chassis. To connect the hitcharm, insert it horizontally into the VersaWing bracket, ensuring that the ezClick button points up. Pressing the ezClick button will allow it to move further into the bracket and snap securely into place. A security pin tethered to the hitcharm is then inserted into the versaWing bracket for extra security. A strap attached to the hitcharm is also looped around the bicycle frame to ensure a connection in the unlikely event of separation during use. The axle-mount ezHitch component is secured to the towing bicycle's axle, using either an existing nut or quick-release configuration, or the supplied quick-release skewer. Once connected, the ezHitch hangs down from the axle. The ball-and-socket end of the hitcharm slips into the funnel-like opening of the ezHitch, and is secured by a security pin. The kit is designed for applications involving children aproximately one year old and up, and includes: a lightweight aluminum hitch arm, axle mount exHitch, an extra tall safety flag and an approved reflector kit. I purchased this earlier this year. I've only used it once so far but plan on getting a lot more use out of it. It was easy to instal and I love all of the added safety features. It allows the bike to handle just as well as if there was nothing attached. It uses a ball and socket joint so you can easily lean into turns without having any effect on the Chariot! Exactly what I expected, stores right on the trailer, and works great. Have never had a problem. Very happy with the purchase. Easy to put connector and hitch on bike and trailer. I was so pleased to find this conversion kit! Its chariot brand and even came with all the original accessories. (I thought it wasnt going to include the flag, but it did!) Love having this so my hubby can pull the kids behind his bike while I run. Easy to install and use.
